| Can I have vision correction surgery if I have severe myopia or thin corneas? |

Severe nearsightedness or thin corneas do not automatically rule out every type of vision correction. However, we need to determine whether enough corneal tissue would remain after treatment and check for signs of increased risk of corneal ectasia. If laser surgery is unsuitable, an alternative such as an implantable collamer lens (ICL) may be considered, provided the anatomy of the eye is appropriate. |
