That depends on the type of intraocular lens (IOL) implanted and the condition of your eyes. A monofocal IOL is generally designed to provide clear vision at one focal distance, while some multifocal IOLs aim to reduce dependence on glasses at several distances. You may still need glasses because of residual astigmatism or corneal or retinal conditions.
