When is the right time to have cataract surgery?

A cataract diagnosis does not always mean you need surgery right away. Surgery is usually considered when changing your glasses no longer provides satisfactory vision or when daily activities such as driving and reading become difficult. However, waiting too long can allow a cataract to become hypermature, which may make surgery more challenging and increase the risk of complications. Regular checkups help us monitor its progression and choose an appropriate time for surgery.
