Dr. Sungjin Na participated in the 132nd Annual Conference of the Korean Ophthalmological Society, the largest ophthalmology conference in Korea, and presented on the topic of “Clinical Results of Scleral Fixation for Multifocal Intraocular Lenses.” He conducted a study comparing two approaches: one where the existing intraocular lens (IOL) was preserved and fixed to the sclera, and the other where the original IOL was removed and replaced with a Precizon multifocal IOL, also fixed to the sclera. In his presentation, Dr. Na explained, "In both groups, visual acuity was good, with 1.0 in both distant and near vision. However, the group where the existing lens was preserved (rescue) had significantly better near vision. This could be attributed to the fact that most of the existing lenses were diffractive lenses, while the exchanged lenses were all Precizon refractive multifocal lenses. Regardless, both approaches showed good distance vision, ranging from 0.9 to 1.0. The group with the Precizon lens exchange showed an average near vision of J2, while the rescue group showed near vision ranging from J1 to J2, with the rescue group having slightly better results."

Dr. Sungjin Na participated in the 132nd Annual Conference of the Korean Ophthalmological Society, the largest ophthalmology conference in Korea, and presented on the topic of “Clinical Results of Scleral Fixation for Multifocal Intraocular Lenses.”
