Dr. Sungjin Na of First Samsung Eye Center successfully delivered a clinical lecture as an invited speaker at the 'SANTEN USER MEETING,' an academic symposium for ophthalmologists. During this symposium, Dr. Na presented on the topic of "How to manage inflammation in pre/post OP patients," focusing on cataract surgery. To achieve optimal outcomes in cataract surgery, managing ocular surface inflammation before and after the procedure is just as critical as the surgical precision itself. In his lecture, Dr. Na emphasized the importance of preoperative evaluations even for asymptomatic patients. He also shared in-depth clinical cases and explained the effective mechanisms of ocular surface recovery using anti-inflammatory eye drops, such as Cyclosporine.
