Dr. Sungjin Na of First Samsung Eye Clinic has successfully completed his academic activities

at the 'American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO 2026),' held in New Orleans, USA, from October 3rd to 13th.

The AAO is the most prestigious global academic conference where ophthalmologists

from around the world gather to exchange the latest clinical insights and surgical techniques.

At this conference, both research studies presented by Dr. Sungjin Na

achieved the remarkable milestone of being selected as 'Best Posters.'

The topics of Dr. Na's presentations that received the honor of Best Poster at this conference are as follows:

1. Visual and Refractive Outcomes of Sutureless Scleral Fixation Using a Photosensitive Silicone IOL (LAL)

2. Clinical Outcomes of Air Tamponade for Primary Rhegmatogenous Retinal Detachments

Because the retina is a highly sensitive and irreversible tissue where the three major blinding diseases originate,

the presentation of these clinical research results on retinal surgery was deeply significant for ophthalmologists worldwide.

Having two research studies simultaneously selected as 'Best Posters' at a single global conference

is objective proof that Dr. Sungjin Na's extensive surgical experience and academic depth are at a world-class level.

As always, First Samsung Eye Clinic promises the highest standard of care through continuous research.

We will not rest on this achievement.

We will remain a clinic that endlessly researches and evolves to provide our patients with clearer, healthier vision.
